small format and fits on a pedal boards Can be used as a normal reverb ( if it were on lower settings) when at highest settings room control is extremely well done and there are three different modes. ability to edit the eq from when connected to computer lots of versatility and ability to use the different aspects individually no need to worry about high and low cuts and a simple eq makes getting good tones very quick You could do this by running a preamp into an interface and running IRs with your computer BUT running them can cause latency issues and it’s also not really a portable solution. As a solution I have been using the line out from my tube amp effects loop into the iridium with only the cabs on and that is perfect, and it gets me the best home recording tone I have ever had and it’s really amazing how great it sounds. With some fuzz pedals there is a little too much high end but this is not unusual and it sound similar to a solid state amp. The pedal does take fuzz pedals and gain stages very well and better then all the other modelers I have tried. A really nice feature is that with the software editor you can actually change the EQ of the IR’s which is super useful if you do want some more low end. It’s important to know you are not going to be getting an amp sound but instead a “recorded” amp sound so dont expect as much bass as you would with a tube amp in front of you. The amps give awesome recreations of the sound of the modeled amps. So I have one and I have been extremely happy with it. List of recommended Youtube gear channels!
